Welcome Back: An Update on My Seemingly Nonexistent Artistic Life

Image
Welcome back to my artist blog! If you're a returning reader, thank you for sticking with me through my extended hiatus. If you're new to my work, allow me to introduce myself: I am an artist specializing in digital art in Clip Studio and my work often explores themes of landscapes with wild, often fantastical themes, I'm also dabbling in 3D and exploring Blender as a means to expand my knowledge in making enticing and beautiful 3D images, and eventually animations.

Queen of the Forest

Image
I haven't painted in a while, and I wanted to give it a try and see what I can do. I'm not completely sure this is completely finished, but I kind of like how it's turned out so far.

Cyclops

Drawing done for a mythological T-shirt design for Deviantart. I'm thinking of actually putting this on a t-shirt, I wonder if anyone would be interested.

Concept Environments

Image
These were completed for a project I'm doing along with other students in Pre-Production. So far it's been really nice working with others for a common goal. I've been gone for so long due to not even having internet after I recently moved. Then my hard-drive decided to die on me. So it's been quite crazy over the last few weeks. I hope to get fully back on track with the updates. More on this interesting project soon! :)

New walk cycle!!

Here's a new walk cycle done for digital ink and paint. It's still kind of rough, but much better than the last attempt. At some point I want to add the inbetweens so that the motion is a lot more smoother than were it's at now. Next I've got to make a background and have the walk cycle play over a panning background. So that should be fun. Another short animation for the same course! A head turn, I did this before the walk cycle and it was earlier in the course. Seeing it now, there's a lot of things about it I would definitely fix and do it again.

Final Ident

This here is the final for my Intro to digital composition class. It was a very short and fun class, I've learned a few new things about after effects which is what this was made with. It was too hard to work with, I started off with just a single image in photoshop, which is the bubble and then used that as a sprite for the particles, so that every particle rendered looks like the bubble I made in photoshop.

Character A Day : Squabble the Duck Day 21

Image
D ay 21 : Squabble the Duck Although a seemingly  normal duck, this duck has got super fast feet, which he can use to skip across the water faster than a speedboat! Sounds familiar? Well, it's not supposed to! Using his super speed he triumphs over evil Dr. Rubinstein...Okay, maybe that's going a bit too far.

Character A Day : Macro - Day 16

Day 16: Macro

Character A Day : Duran Day 15

Character A Day : Jules Day 11

Image
Day 11: Jules Here's Jules for the character a day, for day 11. Seems like it's quite a bit till 30 and classes have started up again. I can only hope that classwork for these classes are merciful enough so I can have extra time to do the character. I've already been giving myself too little time to work on them, focus...focus...focus!

Character A Day : Jack Day 10

D ay 10 : Jack

Character A Day : Logistics - Day 8

Image
D ay 8 : Logistics So I'm a little late for this update, I didn't think it would take me around 4 hours to complete, yet another character.

Character A Day : Morilla - Day 6

Image
D ay 6 : Morilla This time around I wanted to try out a different painting program, Corel Painter

Character A Day : Julia and Abe - Day 5

Image
D ay  5 : Julia and Abe I was a bit reluctant with uploading the drawing for some reason, so I even though I'm a bit late I've got two characters in one! The big loaf back there is Abe and is Julia's father. They decided to go to the fair and enter one of those cheesy horror rides, and the first one to break, Abe of course! Ps: I'll try to be on time more often... : )

Quick Paintings

Image
So as I was playing around with Musicshake, and creating some interesting songs I had reached the point where I had to decide what picture I would want to represent the music. Of course I decided to paint something quickly and use them. I'm going to make more music and covers! This is a pretty interesting way to keep busy. :p MusicShake
