Welcome Back: An Update on My Seemingly Nonexistent Artistic Life

Image
Welcome back to my artist blog! If you're a returning reader, thank you for sticking with me through my extended hiatus. If you're new to my work, allow me to introduce myself: I am an artist specializing in digital art in Clip Studio and my work often explores themes of landscapes with wild, often fantastical themes, I'm also dabbling in 3D and exploring Blender as a means to expand my knowledge in making enticing and beautiful 3D images, and eventually animations.

Bunny Girl 3D Character Turnaround

Watch it!     I know I haven't been around, or updated for a while, I've been a little busy of course, I've been working on this character! This character is fully rigged and animatable, but I made a slight miscalculation, and did the texturing after doing the skinning and rigging, so going into Zbrush and doing the UVs there, changed the model so the rig has to be re-skinned to the new mesh from Zbrush. I learned that I have to get into texturing the model as soon as I'm done with the modeling, otherwise I have to re-skin the character to the rig, in this case.     Well I've also have been drawing up some sketches for the next character I'm going to be creating soon, one that might be a lot more difficult as far as the detail that I see in my mind, but if it works out according to what I have in mind it should be pretty epic!     So here's the 3D turnaround for the character I've been working on for some pr...

Mother Brain

Happy New Year! This is my first post of the new year and I know I've been quite lazy with the posting here. However, here is my latest sculpt attempt in zbrush, another powerful tool that I want to learn. I really love the creative process in zbrush, really gives you all you need in order to just create something                                                 This rather random shape is what I started off with, and after around 8 hours later of sculpting, I ended up with the Mother Brain.

3d Character Animation: Final

Here's the final animation for my 3D character animation class. Yes, more classwork! So much it can drive you crazy! Well it's a learning experience, which I'll be taking to any project I'll work on. This class really made 3d animation a lot easier to grasp and there's so many different techniques for getting the same thing done. It's really choosing the one which will be truly beneficial is what comes with experience.

Characabra Completed!

The character is finally completed a few days ago and now, I've got the internet to finally upload it! made some poses for him. However the envelopes, which are what determines where the bones will manipulate and how much, isn't fully perfected, even though I spent a few sleepless night trying to fix them up, I'll continue to do so, and hopefully I can make a short animation clip with him.
