Welcome Back: An Update on My Seemingly Nonexistent Artistic Life

Image
Welcome back to my artist blog! If you're a returning reader, thank you for sticking with me through my extended hiatus. If you're new to my work, allow me to introduce myself: I am an artist specializing in digital art in Clip Studio and my work often explores themes of landscapes with wild, often fantastical themes, I'm also dabbling in 3D and exploring Blender as a means to expand my knowledge in making enticing and beautiful 3D images, and eventually animations.

Lion Character Armor Sketch

Image
The lion's body is basically almost done. It was mainly done in Zbrush, I then saved out some pictures and painted over them so I can get an idea of how the armor is going to look when everything is done. Well, at least hopefully, if everything works out..

Self Sculpt

Trying to sculpt myself in Zbrush.

Mother Brain

Happy New Year! This is my first post of the new year and I know I've been quite lazy with the posting here. However, here is my latest sculpt attempt in zbrush, another powerful tool that I want to learn. I really love the creative process in zbrush, really gives you all you need in order to just create something                                                 This rather random shape is what I started off with, and after around 8 hours later of sculpting, I ended up with the Mother Brain.

3d Character Animation: Final

Here's the final animation for my 3D character animation class. Yes, more classwork! So much it can drive you crazy! Well it's a learning experience, which I'll be taking to any project I'll work on. This class really made 3d animation a lot easier to grasp and there's so many different techniques for getting the same thing done. It's really choosing the one which will be truly beneficial is what comes with experience.

3D Characabra modeling!

Image
Now here's what I've been working on for the 3D modeling class,  I am one step closer to bringing the Character to life~! There's still a lot of details I want to  get into the base model, before I work on adding the next level of detail! Then I've got to put the bones under the mesh so that I can get some nice movement going.

3D Future Concept Vehicle

Really my first attempt at fully animating a car in Max, It's not perfect, but it's a start..

Checkered Mess

Image
Another project for another class, my 3D modeling/animation II, so now it's twice as much greatness than before. We had to design a futuristic car design, and the environment it will become apart of. By this Friday, preferably sooner, all those checkers will be gone and replaced with cool looking textures.

Crazy Biped...

A short animation of a biped I animated in 3DS Max for my class. The animation is still a bit rough but it's animatic using the key frames and animating each body part one by one. Since I didn't have IK on the biped, movements seem to be a bit stiff, next one, hopefully I'll get fully rigged, so the animation could be a bit easier and natural looking.

Drawing of the Day!

Image
Escher's Three Worlds, which I recreated in 3D a long time ago! If I can recall it was for a 3D challenge. While although I didn't get first place, It was a fun and learning experience. The first Picture of the Day, post on the Lounge. Tell me what you think, and enjoy. ^_^
